Course content
The seminar is focused on the familiarization of the student with the new trends in biophysics and in the science in general and on the improvement of the ability of the student to present the acquired knowledge. During the seminar classes, the student elaborates two presentations in PowerPoint. The topic of the first presentation will stem from the popular scientific articles published in the journal Vesmír, and the topic will follow on the knowledge acquired during the profiled subject of Biophysics study branch (e.g., biophysics of gene, biophysics of cancer, beginning of life, biological clocks, etc.). The second presentation is in the form of a scientific lecture on up-to-date topics (e.g., electroanalysis of biomacromolecules, photodynamic therapy in cancer treatment, epigenetics and epigenetic anticancer drugs, etc.).
