Course content
1) Office suite software a) typography and formating texts b) word processor - document formatting, styles, pages, content, indexes ... c) spreadsheets - cells, data types, operators, formulas, functions, graphs ... d) presentation - rules, structure, animations, timing, styles, templates, graphics and multimedia e) documents - formats to save and print, portability of data, methods of data presentation and publication, tools to obtain digitized data 2) Graphics - bitmap and vector graphic, image representation, graphics file formats, software to edit graphics 3) Multimedia - audio and video data, representation, formats, multimedia software 4) Internet - web, e-mail, communication, security ... 5) Operating system - functions OS, examples and types of OS, comparing, advantages and disadvantages different types of OS. 6) Hardware - computer components, peripherals, mobile devices, data storage, computer networks. 7) Security and legislation in IT - threats, principles of safe behavior, protection against malware, data backup and protection, laws in IT, software licenses. 8) Current trends

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration, Group work

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familarize students with the practical and effective use of computer technology for study purposes, focused mainly on document processing (office software), graphics and multimedia content.
Apply PC for the solution of routine user`s task.
Prerequisites
The course is intended for bachelor students who use computers for processing tasks - reports, presentations or bachelor thesis.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works)

Regular attending of the seminars. Successfully pass the practical test (minimal 50% success).
