Course content
1. Prenatal period - embryonic, fetal and perinatal (teratogenic effects); 2. Birth; 3. Period of neonatal, infant, toddler; 4. Characteristics of ontogenetic development in the preschool age, younger and older school age; 5. Puberty; 6. Adolescence; 7. Adulthood; 8. Evaluation of the medical condition in children and adults; 9. Field Hygiene - basic terminology, classification field; 10. Hygiene requirements for material equipment of schools - capacity, location and school grounds, school building, school furniture, sanitary facilities; 11. Hygiene of school environment - heating, ventilation, lighting, noise protection; 12. Hygiene requirements for recreational events for children and youth, trips, walks, tours; 13. Hygiene teachings - biological rhythms, school work, psychogenic stress; 14. Occupational hygiene - occupational burden with a focus on the teaching profession; 15. diseases related to working conditions of teachers; 16. Hygiene nutrition - food composition, dietary recommendations, school meals; 17. Protecting students from infectious diseases in the school environment.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to: - characterize the ontogenetic development of individuals in the prenatal period, - describe somatic and developmental traits of an individual in the postnatal period, - specify in detail the development of younger and older school age and adolescence, - explain the patterns of physical growth, - apply methods for assessing medical condition in children and adults, - clarify the basic terminology of discipline hygiene, - apply the requirements for material equipment of school and take care of the microclimate in the classroom, - substantiate the effects of biological rhythms on school pupil performance, - describe diseases related to the performance of the teaching profession.
