Course content
skull and head muscles; axial skeleton and neck muscles; chest muscles and abdominal muscles; muscles of the back (spinohumeral region); deep back muscles; upper limb skeleton and shoulder girdle muscles; arm, forearm and hand muscles; lower limb skeleton and hip joint muscles; knee joint muscles; thigh and leg muscles; joints of the upper limb; joints of the lower limb

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training)
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
After passing the course, students should be able to: ? navigate through the terminology of anatomical nomenclature, ? characterize the structure of the human body at the level of the musculoskeletal system, ? clarify the function of individual anatomical structures - cells, tissues, ? deduce their interrelationships in movement manifestations. Somatology I and II are continuous and build upon each other.
By completing this discipline, students acquire the knowledge necessary for the study of subsequent biomedical subjects.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of human biology at the high school level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

80% participation in seminars throughout the semester (active participation)
