Course content
The sudden health disorders (acute allergies, anaphylactic shock, shortness of breath, seizures, fainting, diabetes mellitus and its acute complications, acute abdomen, foreign bodies, intoxication). Pre-hospital first aid. Basic emergency resuscitation. Acute states accident.

Learning outcomes
The goal of the course focus on the philosophy of emergency medicine, including medicine of catastrophes and mass disasters, and especially selected emergency conditions, which are most frequently encountered in real life. The goal of the course is to master the basic procedures or pre-hospital first aid. There is emphasis mainly on life-saving procedures, i.e. emergency resuscitation, haemostasis, anti-shock measures, etc.
After completing the course, students should be able to: explain the underlying pathophysiology atraumatic emergencies, provide basic resuscitation, properly react to a sudden failure of the health of children and young people.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of biology and first aid in the bachelor degree.

Written exam
