Course content
Basic terminology; learning; communication in the educational process; educational standards; personality of educator; principles of education in a healthcare facility; educational goals, principles, forms; educational methods; educational plan; realization of educational plan; evaluation of education; patient education resources on the Internet and e-learning strategies in patient education; specifics of education; application of nursing theories and models in educational practice; educational programs in the community.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with modern educative practices that are now applied in medical practice. Education is one of the basic duties and daily activities, of the professional health workers. Students will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that are necessary for effective education and practical examples and will try out possibilities and methods of education.
After completing the course, students should be able to: - Describe educational standards, policies, - Formulate educational goals, - Apply methods of education in practice - Use material didactic aids in education, - Draft an educational plan, - Evaluate the educational process.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work

Each student prepares a seminar paper on a given topic: by creating an educational plan for clients with selected diseases that should be in the range of max. 5 A4 pages and submit in the LMS Uniform system at least a week before granting credit. Teacher monitoring and evaluation of the individual work is a prerequisite for the possibility for obtaining the credit. Topic tasks: Terms and expressions of the desired relation to health. Cognitive, effective and psychomotor objectives of education; healthcare worker in the role of educator, forms and methods of education in relation to the culture of the client; methods and techniques of education - audio, video, verbal, kinesthetic due to the learning styles of clients; management of ante and post factum stage; Education, self-education, reeducation; Projects for cooperation with educational institutions with primary functions - family, school; Projects for cooperation of health institutions with the clientele; project assignment.
