Course content
|
Topics for consultation: Ontogenetic development. The prenatal period. Development of embryo and foetus during individual months of pregnancy. Parturition (stages of labour), signs of full-term foetus. The postnatal period. Human age division. The characteristics of individual?s somatic development in newborn, infant, toddler and preschool age.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of Evolutionary Anthropology discipline is for the students to gain a comprehensive overview of human evolution as a species (the theory of phylogenesis fundamentals), as well as an individual (ontogenetic development). Emphasis is mainly on individual stages of an individual?s development, commencing with prenatal development. It clarifies the effect of internal and external factors on development of a man, and deals with patterns of physical growth and development.
Completion of the course is the basis for the study of other anthropological disciplines.

|
Mark, Oral exam
Writing to write a report on a given topic from the development of anthropology.
