Course content
Analytical and synthetic xamination methods. Laboratory sample examination. Basic application of toxicological analysis. Imaging examination procedures. Diagnostic examination procedures. Therapeutic procedures. Basics of hematology analysis. Fundamentals of instrumentation. Modern approaches to endoscopic examination methods. Biopsy and Puncture. Electrical and functional examination approaches. Basic and auxiliary examination methods, procedures and approaches in selected clinical disciplines. Preventive and screening procedures in examination methods. Classification approaches to complex examination of client. Work with literary sources (journals, publications, foreign databases of scientific knowledge from clinical disciplines).

Learning outcomes
After completing the course students should be able to: o define the basic examination methods and approaches, procedures; o argue the advantages and disadvantages (for the healthcare system, healthcare professionals, clients) of the individual examination methods and procedures; o clarify the nature of each specific approach; o enumerate and justify possible indications and contraindications of individual examination methods and procedures; o classify subgroups of diagnostic, therapeutic, imaging, probatory and other diagnostic procedures; o apply the knowledge in processing of individual work; o use Evidence-Based approaches and methodological principles; o correlate the knowledge with information from clinical practice recommended in the discipline / clinical sector; o define common and differential features of individual approaches and examination methods; o search for current / modern trends in contemporary home and foreign literature and critically evaluate them.
Knowledge of basic nursing methods.
Prerequisites
The course acquaints with fundamental topics of the current examination methods.

Oral exam
