Course content
Education in nursing, midwifery and medical rescue in the Czech Republic and in the world - nowadays and in the past; Undergraduate, graduate and continuing education for medical assistants, nurses, midwives and paramedics, their competences and job opportunities in the health care system; Educational programs in medical schools - curriculum disciplines and subjects, study goals, the content and profile of graduates, framework and school educational programs, teaching / learning plans and syllabi of individual subjects, focusing on subjects of nursing and medical subjects with the character of practical training; Personality of the teacher of the special health subjects with focus on subjects of nursing and medical courses including practical training; Organization of the teaching nursing subjects, including practical training, which takes place in a clinical setting, i.e. at the bedside, and teaching other health subjects, including practical training; Learning resources, textbooks and other study materials with a focus on nursing, midwifery and medical rescue; Motivation of students in medical fields, focusing on nursing and other fields of practical education; Objectives, forms, methods and means of teaching in nursing in theoretical lessons and practical education within medical subjects.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to educate and train the future teachers of nursing subjects and practical training, who should gain adequate theoretical knowledge and required practical skills, including communication skills and, of course, the necessary ethical education.
After completing the course, students should be able to: - define the content of the curriculum in medical schools of nursing, as well as the content of the curriculum of other medical items, which include practical training (e.g. focusing on the first aid, etc.); - apply effective methods and forms of instruction in nursing subjects or other medical subjects, which include practical training; - from a didactic point of view to analyze the curriculum subject of nursing or other healthcare items, which include practical training; - solve educational problems; - justify their own didactic decisions; - analyze the experience gained through teaching practice in high school; - describe pedagogical documents and navigate their content, in relation to nursing courses or other courses that include practical training; - describe alternative educational concepts and innovations in relation to the articles mentioned above.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic Test, Seminar Work

Each student prepares a detailed guidance package on a given nursing theme or topic focused in midwifery or medical rescue that must be submitted (in the system LMS-uniform) at least one week before granting the credit. Monitoring and evaluation of the individual work of teachers is a prerequisite for obtaining credit. The main thematic units in teaching nursing: Development of nursing. Nursing process. Organization of medical / hospital care. Selected nursing interventions (positioning, hygienic care, administering medication by mouth, injected into body cavities, infusions, transfusions, toileting , diet system, collection of biological material, etc.). Treatment of a patient with a certain type of disease. Eventually - after teacher consultation - a theme in relation to other medical subject with practical teaching. Credit will be given on the basis of the fulfilment of the above mentioned tasks. The exam will have two parts: written (in the form of didactic test) and oral (defending methodological package and the correct answers to the questions of the teacher in the scope of the whole subject).
