Course content
1. Health, the definition of health, basic terminology and concepts of health, models of health and health determinants. The health status of the population of the Czech Republic. 2. Hygienic requirements for school equipment and facilities - capacity, location, school grounds, school building, school furniture, sanitary facilities. 3. Hygiene of school environment - heating, ventilation, lighting, noise protection. 4. Hygiene requirements for recreational events for children and youth, trips, walks, tours. 5. Hygiene learning - Mode of school children, biological rhythms, school work, psychogenic stress. 6. Hygiene work. Professional burden focusing on the teaching profession. Diseases related to the working conditions of teachers. 7. Hygiene nutrition - food composition, dietary guidelines, health risks from food, school meals. 8. Safety and health of pupils in schools and school facilities. 9. General epidemiology - epidemic and infectious process, prevention of infectious diseases. 10. Special epidemiology - airborne infections, alimentary infections, diseases transmitted by arthropods, intestinal parasites. 11. First aid, basic definitions, the IRS, the importance of first aid, safety compliance, examination of the victim. Orientation in the severity of the accident. 12. Bleeding, types of bleeding symptoms, the procedure for granting the PP. 13. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, ensuring continuity DC, CPR for adult, child, infant, ethical aspects of CPR.

Learning outcomes
Subject Special Health propedeutics is focused on hygiene teaching process in healthy and handicapped individuals, including hygiene learning, fatigue and overloading pupils regime of schoolchildren and hygienic school environment. Furthermore, the discipline focuses on issues of personal and intimate hygiene of children, the health consequences of inadequate sanitation, hygiene during infectious diseases etc. are discussed and entities related to the hygiene of the environment (air, water, noise, lighting, radiation, safe disposal of waste etc.). Attention is also paid to aspects of school meals, nutritional characteristics and risks of pupils.
The task of discipline is to provide students with a set of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are important for providing first aid. Become familiar with the most common causes, consequences and symptoms of harm to human health. They will learn the whole system of first aid, and comprehensive knowledge in providing first aid, which correspond to the current state of knowledge. The teaching will become familiar with first aid for acute conditions that directly threaten human life: bleeding, injury to bones and joints, respiratory arrest and circulatory shock and unconsciousness like.
Prerequisites
The conditions laid down by the lecturer at the beginning of the semester.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Basic knowledge of biology and children. After completing the course, students should be able to: - Characterize the determinants of general health; - Identify risk factors affecting the health status of students in terms of their schooling, - Distinguish between different types of infectious diseases according to their transmission, - Apply the principles of prevention of infectious diseases. - Organize the procedure of providing first aid, - Recognize the symptoms and perform basic diagnostics of sudden health disorders and injuries that threaten human health - Provide adequate first aid in conditions that threaten the health and life of the individual
