Course content
The importance of exercise for health; basic motor skills in accordance with health principles and the principles of safe and health-promoting exercise; compensatory and health-oriented exercises; promoting a positive attitude towards exercise; methods of testing physical fitness.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the importance of physical activity for individual health. Recommendations for physical activity and principles of physical exertion with regard to age and gender, factors influencing energy expenditure during physical activity, determination of exertion intensity using heart rate. Methods of testing physical fitness.

Prerequisites


Assessment methods and criteria

Presentation of a selected professional article on a topic related to physical activity, elaboration of the topic, and its subsequent presentation.
