Course content
Subject of somatology. Latin terminology. Cell and tissue. Anatomy and physiology of organs in the individual organ systems - skeletal system, muscular system, respiratory system.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration
  • Homework for Teaching - 36 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 20 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 4 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
During studies, the courses of Somatology 1 and 2 are the essential disciplines. Considering the course of Somatology 1, following objectives are set: - Define somatology as a field of study, - Explain the principle of Latin terminology, used in somatology, - Name the individual organ systems and describe their specific structure, - Explain the function principles of the organs and the systems.
After passing this course, student acquires the necessary knowledge for the following study of biological-medical courses.
Prerequisites
High school (secondary school) knowledge in human biology.

Oral exam, Written exam, Written exam

100% attendance during the semester (active participation in the lectures)
