Course content
Types of anthropological researches and their organisation. The basics of standard anthropological methodology (anthropometric points, instrumentarium, assessment methodology and practical recognition of selected somatic states). Evaluation of body proportionality (proportionality index and human body ratios, height to weigh ratios). Possibilities of prediction of the final body height (predication equation). Typology. Body composition assessment methods. Evaluation of the formation of arches of foot.

  • Attendace - 6 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
After passing this course students should be able to: - understand the terminology of physical anthropology, - explain basis assessment methods of somatic state of human body, - apply these methods in practice, - explain the impact of internal and external factors on human evolution using the laws of body growth and evolution, - draft a somatodiagnostic plan - evaluate the somatodiagnostic process
Students acquire the fundamental basis for the study of other human sciences as well as an understanding of the basic principles of specialization and integration of Sciences.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of somatology, physiology and human history (and human society).

Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Didactic Test

- elaboration of protocols from tutorials - practical training of anthropometric methods - 80% participation in tutorials - elaboration of protocols from tutorials in accordance with an assignment is a prerequisite for registering for a colloquium
