Course content
The length of the block teaching practice is 14 days (minimum of 3 days continuously). The student completes teaching practice with individuals with special needs in a sports institute in the capacity of an assistant coach, coach, instructor, lecturer or animator. The date of the block teaching practice is selected by the student individually upon agreement with the course guarantor. The teaching practice colloquium can be completed no sooner than in the second grade of Bachelor?s programme in the winter or summer semester.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to apply theoretical knowledge acquired during the course in practice. The student applies programmes aimed at applied physical activity in a school, leisure and sport environment of individuals with special needs. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student is able to apply theoretical knowledge from the area of sport in practical leading and controlling of the physical education process. The student is able to apply suitable organizational forms and principles in the delivery of leisure activities.
Prerequisites
100% A course for students of physical education and sport in the full-time of combined study.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

The student completes a 14-day continuous teaching practice (can be completed in parts, each part of at least 3 continuous days) in a special institute or organized by a special institute, organization of centre (e.g. camps, training camp for athletes with disability, continuous placement). The student is expected to submit a confirmation of teaching practice in a teaching practice log and a seminar paper. An electronic Teaching practice application must be filled in. All information concerning the teaching practice including the teaching practice log and teaching practice application is available at www.apa.upol.cz (APA at FTK, student teaching practice). The student must apply for a colloquium through the STAG system. Prior to the colloquium a seminar paper must be submitted (no later than 2 working days prior to the colloquium date). This seminar paper serves as a type of reflection. The student enrols in the course in the second grade of Bachelor?s study. The credit requirements include a confirmation (teaching practice log including a confirmation of 30-hour teaching practice with individuals with special needs) of completion of continuous teaching practice (KSK/PPPR1) according to the official rules of the APA and APE teaching practice guarantor and lecturer. (Not applicable to those who received teaching practice confirmation as a part of the KSK/PPPR1 course)
