Course content
Game combinations. Game systems aimed at personal defence system and attack against personal defence. Game activities and training of a goalkeeper. Physical activity games. General physical training aimed at athletic training. General physical training aimed at skilfulness. Fitness training of young people aimed at speed and strength. Organization of a School league tournament. Beach handball. Wheelchair handball.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge of handball in terms of theory, specific skills and didactic approaches with respect to various age groups. The students will be capable of applying the knowledge of didactics of sports games and sports training into handball training aimed at 15-year-old children. During PE lessons and handball training, the students will be able to include special exercises (fitness and skills) aimed and handball with respect to age-related specifics of children. Upon completion of the course the students will have an opportunity to acquire handball coaching licence C. The students will extend the spectrum of physical activity games aimed at throwing and catching a ball. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The student will use the acquired structured information, knowledge and experience to understand the principles of training children handball, game performance in handball in terms of knowledge (rules, theory and didactics of handball) as well as skills. The acquired knowledge and experience can be used by the student in teaching PE as a teacher (elementary and secondary schools) and in training handball as coaches (C handball licence). The student will know the methods of training individual activities and will be able to promote general development in sports training of children up to 15 years of age. The student will know the rules and will practically try wheelchair handball and beach handball.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of Sports specialization 1 - handball course. The course can be attended by students who had never played handball!

Student performance, Didactic Test, Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student, Seminar Work

Active participation in seminars and lectures, seminar paper, didactic presentation with children in a handball preparatory course, 100% attendance, to acquire the C licence - test.
