Course content
Methodology of training and improvement of swimming techniques, starts and turns. The classes also focus on training other physical activity skills (diving, lifesaving, etc.)

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Demonstration, Training in job and motor Skils

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to gain new knowledge and practical skills in the theory and didactics of swimming. Training of the following swimming styles: breaststroke, crawl, backstroke and butterfly waving. Training of starts and turns in various swimming styles. Throughout the course the student will learn the basics of rescue and applied swimming, basics of first aid and lifesaving, jumps and falls.
Upon completion of the course the student: - Will have practical experience in all swimming styles, - Will demonstrate correct technique of the following swimming styles: breaststroke, backstroke and crawl, - Will be able to identify serious errors and bad habits of swimming techniques and will be able to suggest ways of their elimination.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Active participation in classes - Fulfilment of practical credit requirements swimming 200m in a single swimming style (breaststroke, crawl or backstroke) within a specified time limit and using a proper technique, - Swimming 20m under water, - Fishing out an object from 3m, - Start jump, - Demonstration of lifesaving.
