Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic theoretical and practical training in Pilates. Students will become familiar with types of Pilates, principles of breathing, body movements, basic principles, set of exercises for beginners, specifics of exercises for beginners and preparatory exercises. The course deals with the Body & Mind method - the connection and conscious interplay of body and mind. The basic level of Pilates includes balance, strength and stretching exercises. Pilates focuses on eliminating muscle imbalances and faulty movement patterns, including faulty posture, with a focus on correct breathing and engaging the deep stabilization system - the core.
