Practice basic windsurfing skills: - Training on a simulator, - Balancing exercise on a board, - Mast technique, sail handling, - Basic position prior to start, starting, - Turing the board, direct movement, - Slalom ride, - Steering in windsurfing, various courses, - Upwind turns, downwind turns, - Riding technique side and back wind, - Wind crossing against wind, - Controlled ride using buoys, - Beach start, Theory basic windsurfing knowledge: - Safety rules, - Flag signalling, - Technology, yachting knots, - Basics of meteorology, hydrodynamics, aerodynamics. Additional activities: - Cycling, - Volleyball, - Football, - Tennis, - Mini-golf, - In-line skating, - Stretching.

Learning outcomes
|
Throughout the Windsurfing course the students learn to manoeuvre and control a windsurf in a safe way and know the basics of wind-orientation on a water surface. The course focuses on acquiring basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills of riding a windsurf. The students learn safety rules of movement on water surface. The course also focuses on leading and organization pf courses (training camps) that can be held as curricular or extracurricular activity. The course covers basic hydrodynamics and aerodynamics principles.
Upon completion of the windsurfing course the student is able to: - Apply purposeful and safe windsurfing behaviour on an open water surface, - Use suitable equipment for windsurfing, - Manipulate with and control the windsurfing board and sail, - Perform learned windsurfing physical activities, - Use correct windsurfing terminology.

Prerequisites
|
The course is designed for the students of Physical Education and Sport, Population Protection, Applied Physical Education combined Bachelor's study.

|
Student performance, Didactic Test, Systematic Observation of Student
- Active participation in the whole course. - Credit windsurfing regatta (controlled around a buoy). - Written theory test.
