Course content
Methodics of training and improvement of techniques of swimming styles, starts and turns.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Observation, Demonstration, Training in job and motor Skils, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 10 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to improve theoretical as well as practical knowledge of the theory and didactics of basic and improved swimming. Training of butterfly technique.
Upon completion of the course the student is able to: - Swim the required distance (50 m) using the following swimming styles: breaststroke, crawl, backstroke and butterfly, - Explain safety principles and rules of conduct during swimming lessons, - Identify and eliminate any bad habits in swimming techniques.
Prerequisites
A prerequisite for the course is successful completion of the KAS/PG2 course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Student performance, Didactic Test, Seminar Work

- Active participation in lessons. - Swimming 50 metres using the following swimming styles: breaststroke, crawl, backstroke and butterfly, - Test of swimming rules. - Completion of practical swimming triathlon.
