Course content
Training and didactics of more difficult exercise forms on various gymnastic equipment.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Observation, Demonstration, Training in job and motor Skils
  • Homework for Teaching - 10 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 4 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 13 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is deepen and extend students' knowledge and practical skills in the area of artistic gymnastics. The aim is to extend the reservoir of exercises and acquire knowledge of the didactics of more difficult exercise forms on various gymnastic equipment. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student acquires the competence to teach selected gymnastic exercise forms according to recommended methodological procedures. The student can assess the quality of main movement sections, identify clear causes of incorrect movement and use appropriate corrective instructions.
Prerequisites
The student is capable of performing basic skills and exercise forms on gymnastic equipment (floor, pommel horse, still rings, vault, uneven bars, parallel bars, high bar, balance beam).

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Active participation in classes. Practical demonstration of selected gymnastic exercise forms and direct assistance procedures. Assessment of the quality of selected exercise forms, identification of possible causes of incorrect movement and use of appropriate corrective instructions, all in compliance with the instructions specified at Moodle.
