Course content
Methodology of training and improving the technique of individual athletic disciplines. For the purposes of clear presentation of the techniques, analyses of videos of professional as well as student execution of athletic disciplines are performed.

Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Observation, Demonstration, Training in job and motor Skils, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with further track and field athletics disciplines: with techniques of hurdles race, with technique of javelin throw as well as with techniques and methods of speed endurance development. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course students get acquainted with the techniques of hurdles race, with the technique of javelin throw as well as with the techniques and methods of speed endurance development.
Prerequisites
It is anticipated that in the previous (Bachelor's) study the students acquired basic knowledge and skills in athletic disciplines.

Requirements Credit is awarded upon completion of performance-based requirements and execution of specific physical activity skills. At the end of the course the students take an exam (practical) including an athletic multi-event contest (athletic heptathlon - women, octathlon - men). a) Skills: - Hurdle running technique (three-step rhythm), - Curve running swing technique - Javelin five-step throwing rhythm. b) Performance Hurdle runs and games, training and development of hurdle rhythm and technique Hurdles 60m 10.8 s (men) 12.5 s (women) Development of curve running swing technique 400m 1:08min (men) 1:20min (women) Javelin throw (800/600g) - training of five-step throwing rhythm 25.00m (men) 19.00m (women) Palacky University Athletics Championships (hall, track, cross-country): active participation in the event as an organizer or referee Talent entrance examination, Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacky University: active participation in the event as an organizer or referee Athletic heptathlon (women) - total points in the following disciplines: hurdles 100m, shot put, high jump, 200m, long jump, javelin throw, 800m Athletic octathlon (men) - total points in the following disciplines: 100m, long jump, shot put, 400m, hurdles 100m, high jump, javelin throw, 1500m Assessment - MEN: 3200 points - A 3000 points - B 2800 points - C 2600 points - D 2400 points - E Assessment - WOMEN: 2450 points - A 2300 points - B 2100 points - C 1900 points - D 1750 points - E
