British geography and people British identity--the English, Scotch, Welsh, (Northern) Irish British system of education British government, parliament, elections, Brexit religion in Britain British monarchy, the royal family sports and other leisure time activities British legal system British healthcare system British media

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Projection (static, dynamic)

Learning outcomes
This course consists of an investigation of selected aspects of life in English-speaking countries, with the focus being on the United Kingdom. Aspects of British culture are compared with Czech culture equivalents.
course graduate shall acquire comprehensive knowledge of the culture of the United Kingdom and will be able to utilize this knowledge in teaching English as a foreign language in elementary schools
Prerequisites
Ability to study and discuss in English.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance, Seminar Work

Punctual arrival and staying for the whole lesson. Active participation in all lessons. Completion of all classwork tasks and reading all recommended literature. Timely completion of all homework tasks including passing the colloquium test is the basis for receiving credit.
