Course content
|
The concept of internal medicine, its division into subdisciplines, the fundamentals of diagnosing and of therapeutic and nursing procedures in major diseases, respiratory, cardiovascular, haematological, gastroenterological, nephrological, endocrine, and rheumatological conditions, the importance of aetiology and prevention of infectious diseases, the fundamentals of clinical immunology, immunodeficiency conditions, autoimmune diseases, the most common intoxications, disturbances in acid-base balance and ion balance, detection of acute conditions.

Learning outcomes
|
The course provides fundamental knowledge from internal medicine. It provides space for integration of knowledge of internal medicine as an essential branch of medicine with radiodiagnostics and nuclear medicine. An emphasis is placed on the cooperation of a multidisciplinary medical team in terms of diagnosis and treatment.
After completing the subject the student is able to implement the gained knowledge in a diagnostic-therapeutic approach to patients within the scope of examination methods in radiodiagnostics and nuclear medicine.
