Topics: Ultrasound Body systems and medical conditions related to them, related examination Oncology and radiation treatment Nuclear medicine Mammography Academic English - reading and comprehending scientific texts, specific vocabulary in AE, giving a presentation on a chosen topic

Learning outcomes
|
Students develop their competency in healthcare English. They expand their healthcare terminology, broaden their knowledge of grammar at intermediate+ level and improve their skills in English, with focus on speaking, listening and reading. Students should reach B1/B2 level of competency in English. Students will be able to use English in their profession, will be able to communicate with foreign patients effectively, and will be able to work with field-specific texts in English.
Students will acquire a basic level of healthcare English necessary for their profession, with focus on communication with patients and working with text.

Competence in English at least at the CEFR reference level A2/B1.

Assessment methods and criteria

Mark, Oral exam, Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student
Active particiaption in classes, completing assigned tasks, giving a presentation in English, final exam.
