Course content
|
Interpretation of special terms. Changes in the river landscape system over the history, caused by a man. Principles of the river landscape function. Changes in related system and developed responses (explanation with the use of the case-studies). Summary of contemporary restoration tools in Czech Republic, principles of the use of these. The samples of restoration studies created by the Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims at presenting actual information and procedures from the branch. Major approaches, conceptual and theoretical topics are listed in syllabus.
Application Relate knowledge about structure and functioning of river landscape to assessed case study problems. Apply principles of restoration processes.

Elementary knowledge in hydrobiology and landscape ecology.
