Course content
Introduction, basic concepts, components, general principles, natural backgrounds. Monitoring of the atmosphere, sources of pollution, physical and chemical properties of pollutants, collection and processing of samples. Compounds of sulphur and nitrogen in atmosphere (SO2, SO3, H2S, Nx, estimation). Corbon compounds in atmosphere. Dry and wet atmospheric depositions. Water monitoring. Analyses of drinking, natural and waste water. Soil and sediment monitoring, physical and chemical properties of soil and sediments, collection, conservation, transport and storage, modifications prior to estimation, assessment of basic indicators. Monitoring systems in the CR and world (hygienic stations, Hydrometeorological Institute, State Veterinary Administration, environmental projects, gaining knowledge, use of Internet.

The aim is to provide students with information on environmental monitoring.
Aplication Apply knowledge on enviromental monitoring systems Relace air, water and soil duality changes in ČR in last time.

Elementary knowledge in chemistry
