Course content
Basic toxicology. Molecular mechanisms of toxicity, Effect of pollutants at the cellular and organism level. Biotransformation. Carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and teratogencity. Toxicity testing. Inorganic pollutants, organic pollutants. Environmental toxicology. Pollutants in ecosystems. Biomarkers, biomonitoring. Bhopal, Seveso, Černobyl.

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Projection (static, dynamic)

Learning outcomes
The aim is to introduce students to the basic principles of toxicology and ecotoxicology.
Knowledge Recall basic toxicological terminology Describe molecular mechanism of toxicity, biotransformation, carcinogenity, toxicity testing.

Elementary knowledge in chemistry

Mark, Written exam, Seminar Work

Exam - knowledge and good orientation in subjects, dataresearch in toxicology databases.
