Course content
Basic terms of phytogeography and phytosociology, Natura 2000 network. Czech list of habitats and plants communities: Streams and water bodies, Wetlands and riverine vegetation, Spring and mires, Cliffs and boulder screes, Alpine treeless habitats, Secondary grasslands and heathlands, Scrub, Forests, Habitats strongly influenced or created by man. Plant species composition, environmental and threatening factors, and management.

Learning outcomes
The course aims at presenting actual information and procedures from the branch. Major approaches, conceptual and theoretical topics are listed in syllabus.
Knowledge Revision and definition of basic terms of phytogeography and phytosociology, Natura 2000 network, biogeographical regions, SCI, Habitats Directive management etc. Describtion streams and water bodies, wetlands and riverine vegetation, spring and mires, cliffs and boulder screes, alpine treeless habitats, secondary grasslands and heathlands, scrub, forests, habitats strongly influenced or created by man. Plant species composition, environmental and threatening factors, and management.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of systematics of plants and plant ecology.
