The course follows up course DVU/ZMU1 Sources of modern art. The course focuses on modern and avant-garde art, with special attention to their sources of inspiration. It focuses on inspirations of modern artists by caricature, popular culture, and folk culture. These inspiration will be interpreted critically in a political, social, and cultural context.
