Course content
1. Architecture of Luxembourg time in Bohemia and Moravia (Matthias of Arras, Petr Parler, Wenceslas Parler etc.). 2. Sculpture of Luxembourg time in Bohemia and Moravia (Master of Michle Madonna, Peter Parler, Henry of Gmünd etc.). 3. Painting of Luxembourg time in Bohemia and Moravia (Master of Vyšší Brod Altar, Master Theodoric, Master of Třeboň Altar, etc.). 4. Art of the beautiful style and Hussite art in Bohemia and Moravia. 5. Renaissance and Mannerist architecture in Italy (Filippo Brunelleschi, Donato Bramante, Michelangelo, Giulio Romano etc.). 6. Giotto di Bondone, Renaissance and Mannerist painting in Italy (Masaccio, Piero della Francesca, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Tintoretto, Paolo Veronese and etc.). 7. Renaissance and Mannerist sculpture in Italy (Donatello, Bernardo Rossellino, Michelangelo, Giovanni da Bologna etc.). 8. Architecture of Jagellonian time in Bohemia and Moravia (Benedikt Ried, Hans Spiess from Frankfurt, Matthew Rejsek from Prostějov etc.). 9. Sculpture of Jagellonian time in Bohemia and Moravia (Anton Pilgram, sculptures in the castle Křivoklát, Master of Zwettl altar etc.). 10. Painting of Jagellonian time in Bohemia and Moravia (Master of Litoměřice altar, Master of Rakovnik etc.). 11. Early Renaissance art and architecture in Bohemia and Moravia during the reign of Ferdinand I of Habsburg (1526-1564). 12. High Renaissance Art in Bohemia and Moravia (1550-1600) - architecture, sculpture and painting.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to acquaint students with the developmental stages of Czech art between 1300-1600 and Italian art of 15th and 16th century. At the beginning of the semester lectures will be focused on the Czech art of the 14th century under the reign of Luxembourg dynasty. Attention will be also paied to the development of Italian art and architecture in the time of Renaissance and Mannerism. Part of the lectures will be also the interpretation of the development of Czech art in 15th and 16th century, with an emphasis on art of Hussite and Jagellonian era and art of Renaissance.
Students obtain basic knowledge of Czech art between 1300-1600 and Italian art of 15th and 16th century.
Prerequisites
Subject is designated for students of Bachelor study of Art science studies.

Very good knowledge of the topics, that are discussed in the lectures, good knowledge of the recommended literature.
