Course content
|
1. Architectonical monuments from 11th century preserved in Czech countries. 2. Coin depiction on the denier mint from 11th century in Bohemia and Moravia 3. Illuminated books from 11th century from Germany, which were later imported to Bohemia or were executed for Czech comissioners. 4. Romanesque architecture from 12th century in Czech countries, with speciál begard to monuments, preserved in Olomouc and Moravia. 5. Basic monuments of Romasque mural painting in Bohemia and Moravia. 6. Scriptorium of bishop Jindřich Zdík in Olomouc and his illuminated books.

|
The lecture is concentrated on development of Fine Arts in Czech countries in the Přemyslid era in the main categories: architecture, sculpture, painting and artistic crafts. The attention is put to the selected works of art fom the perspective of their iconography, style and their cultural-historical background.
Basic knowledge of art history in the Czech countries between 1000-1300.
