Learning outcomes
The seminar and the lecture bring some examples of the interpretation of a painting on the base of a typological structure of theories of interpretation. Students meet with types of methods of interpretation in the history of art, which start from research of a painting as an art form to the investigation of its meaning.

Prerequisites
The finished bachelor degree of the History of Art.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Presentation of the paper about important interpretaion study from the international art history magazine, devoted to one painting or a cycle. Presence in seminars.
