Course content
Lectures - 1st half of the lesson: The personality and work of Guido Reni and his contribution to the formation of Baroque, another personality of the beginning of Baroque painting. Seminars - 2nd half of the lesson: Student translations of pages of English chapters (each student 1 page text) and their presentation at a seminar.

Learning outcomes
Understand the way of changing the way of painting in the postcaravagian and postcarraccian generation, which culminated in the Baroque style of painting, forming the 17th and most of the 18th century European painting.
The ability to finely formulate transformations of the 17th-century style of painting.
Prerequisites
Deeper interest in understanding the emergence of Baroque painting.

Analysis of linguistic

Attentive listening lectures and a comprehended translation of 1 page of the English text.
