Course content
Students will acquaint themselves with the operation of the collections and exhibitions institutions in the premises of the Museum of Art Olomouc in the form of specialized excursions, detailed information about the functioning of individual professions dedicated to the collection, protection, categorization and presentation of the work of art. Part of the seminar is devoted to the contemporary theory of aesthetics and aesthetic interpretation of the artwork. Students will also learn about the ways of presenting the work in the virtual space using expert and popular educational databases. They will lead to the creation of independent popular textbooks as well as the theoretical preparation of permanent and short-term exhibitions, including courses on the production, promotion and financing of curatorial projects. The excursion is also devoted to visits to the art studio and communication with artists about the way of presenting his own work.

Learning outcomes
To present students with contemporary Czech as well as foreign forms of presentation of fine arts, ie contemporary curatorial, collecting, conservative, restorative approaches. And it is actively in the premises of the Olomouc Art Museum on the example of the SEFO project. Most of the classes are attended by individual departments of the museum and familiarize students with current practice. The theoretical part of the lessons is oriented mainly on the artistic historical and aesthetic interpretation of the artwork and the ways of making it accessible to the general public. The acquired knowledge should be taught by the students in practice to cooperate with the CEAD database.
The aim of the seminar is to familiarize students with problems, questions and current methods of protection, cataloging and presentation of fine arts. A model example is the work of the Olomouc Art Museum, in cooperation with this institution the whole seminar is being created. The acquired competences should be prepared for future practice in the preparation of different types of projects for museum galleries and non-profit institutions. The student gets knowledge about the preparation of grant projects, their management, production and promotion. And he will teach his theoretical knowledge for the writing of scholarly texts acquired through the study of art history to transform into the popular science sphere of practice.
Prerequisites
The lecture is intended for graduates of the bachelor's study of the History of Fine Arts and Art Studies.

Student performance, Seminar Work

The basic requirement is active participation of students in lessons, participation in the discussion, analytical processing of selected chapters of presentation of artwork to the public, creation of own popular text for the CEAD Art Museum Olomouc Art Museum.
