1. Czech photography of 19th century. 2. The main figures of Czech photography of 19th century. 3. Piktorialist photography and its relations to the Czech kontext. 4. The main figures of pictorialism (Bufka, Fejfar, Trčka, Novák, Binko). 5. The work of Josef Sudek and František Drtikol. 6. Czech photographic avantgarde. 7. Main figures of Czech avantgarde photography (Rössler, Funke). 8. The work of 20's and 30's of Frantisek Drtikol 9. Second avantgarde / F3, F4, F5 a Linie. 10. Surrealistic photography 11. Photography of WW II and Skupina 42. 12. The work of Josef Sudek after WW II. 13. Czech documentary photograpy during WW II.

Learning outcomes
|
The lecture is largely focused on particular streams of Czech photography of 20th century but also pays attention to the development of the medium in 19th century and world wide context. The aim is to explain the streams and to present the most important authors.
Basic orientation in the history of the Czech photography of the 20th century and in the relationships with the art and with the photography in the world.
