Course content
Every student prepares and presents a paper about process of conservation or restauration o sellected monument. The presentation each of paper will take place by the sellected object. Only the the first lesson is intented as opening where students get instruction and advice on the literature and structure of the paper.

Learning outcomes
Seminar properly supplies theoretical knowledge from the course System and Practice of the Heritage Protection. Students are requested to prepare and present a paper about conservation or restauration of the selected object (architecture, plastic or sculpture). An important part of the course will be an attendance some of the methodic centres National Heritage Institute. The aim is to introduce to students the broad approach of contemporary heritage conservation in Czech republic (preventive conservation, remedial conservation, restauration, various types of rekonstruction, transfer, revitalization, adaptation). An integral part of the course will be critical analysis of texts reflecting controversial cases.
