Course content
1.Figurative painting of the second half of the 20th century - expressive, realistic and imaginative tendencies (new figuration, realism, pop art, photorealism, neo-expressionism) 2.Heftig Malerei, Neue Wilde, transavantgarda 3. Non-figurative painting of the second half of the 20th century, lyrical abstraction and abstract expressionism 4.CoBrA, Jean Dubuffet and Art Brut 5.Non-figurative painting of the second half of the 20th century, geometric abstraction 6.Op art, Group Zero-Gruppe, minimalism 7. Sculpture and spatial art of the second half of the 20th century, figuration and abstraction 8. Conceptual art.

Learning outcomes
Two-semester cycle of lectures provides orientation in the history of European painting, sculpture, spatial and conceptual art from the early 20th century after the end of the eighties and extending its attention on the American art scene after World War II. Opinion changes in art are pursued in the broader context of contemporary historical and political events.
Basic knowledge of the development of European painting and sculpture between 1945-1990.
Prerequisites
The passing the cycle of lectures DVU/A17D1.
