Course content
Unit 1 (Baumbach). At the University. Family. My Hobbies. Present and past tenses. Declension of substantives, adjectives and pronouns. Prepositions. The history of Olomouc (Part I). Passive. Temporal data. Berliner Platz 1 Neu (Unit 7-8)

Learning outcomes
This is the first semester of a course. The course concentrates on the parallel development of German, both general and scientific. This course will focus especially on developing abilities to read, to comprehend and to translate scientific texts. The course concentrates also on practising other communication forms: speaking, listening and writing.
Ability to use scientific German for studies. Ability to read, to comprehend and to translate scientific texts. Development of language skills in general German. Language level A2/B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Prerequisites
It is necessary to know at least lessons 1-6 of Berliner Platz 1 Neu. It will be tested at the beginning of the semester. Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

Credit: 1. Course attendance - regular home preparation, especially written homeworks. 2. Successful passing of the credit testing (writing test; correct pronunciation)
