Course content
Basic facts in general surgery, urology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, plastic and aesthetic surgery.

Learning outcomes
To familiarize students with general surgery, anesthesiology and resuscitation, orthopaedics and traumatology, neurosurgery, urology and plastic surgery.
The acquired knowledge and practical skills will be utilized in the urgent diagnostics of acute surgical conditions, which students may encounter during their clinical training. These primarily include acute abdominal pain, tumorous diseases, and other affections and trauma, which may be associated with dental practice (trauma by foreign objects, mediastinal abscesses, maxillofacial trauma, etc.). The fundamentals of anesthesiology and resuscitation are also introduced, especially complications of anesthesia and their solutions, including correctly performing cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Completing internship programme assumed integrated knowledge in surgical, urological propedeutics, in plastic surgery and in orthopaedics.100% participation in practical training and seminars, students readiness for training.
