Course content
Biopolymers, biomembranes, cytology, genetic information, gene, DNA replication, transcription, proteosynthesis, mutations and mutagenes, cell genome, cell cycle, mitosis, meiosis, cytogenetics, basic principles of inheritance in multicellular organisms, gonosomal inheritance, methods of human genetics, human metabolic diseases.

Learning outcomes
The subject provides basic overview in the fields of cellular biology and genetics, aimed at human organism.
Students obtain basic knowledge of the basal cellular organisation, of the function of cellular structures and of the basic laws of inheritance.
Prerequisites
Students ought to have fundamental biology attainments at the secondary education level.

Mark, Oral exam, Written exam, Dialog

The attendance of obligatory lab works and seminars in regular or in substitute terms; passed tests; written protocols based on the lab work. Semester credit. Written and oral examination after the first semester of study.
