Course content
Bond types in the coordination compounds (incl. metal-metal bond). Donor properties of ligands. Complexes with selected S,P,N,O-ligands. General knowledge of coordination chemistry, especially of VIII. group elements and copper. Synthesis and reaction types of transition metal complexes (with accent to first row elements) with selected ligands (polyazamacrocycles, Schiff bases, mono- and polydentate N,S,P-donor ligands).

The lecture Coordination chemistry and synthesis of complex compounds is designed for PhD students of inorganic chemistry and it deals with advanced coordination chemistry of inorganic complexes with accent to synthesis of transition metal complexes of iron group with selected ligands.
