Course content
|
Experimental methods used for determination of toxicity in vitro and in vivo (acute and chronic toxicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, genotoxicity, teratogenicity, immunotoxicology, phototoxicity, excitability tests, allergy desensitization). Legislature and evaluation procedures in dependence on variety of substance used or application of sanitary technique. Legislature and ethics in work with laboratory animals, interpretation of toxicological data, alternative models supplanting testing procedures using animals. Methods and evaluation of metabolism and disposal of xenobiotics. Principles of work according to correct laboratory practice and executing of accredited tests.

To become acquainted with the subject matter according to guarantor or teacher recommendations and prove capability to explain and discuss given topic.
