Course content
Current status and trends in the field of metrology in chemistry with focus on quality assurance of measurement results and documentation of its quality. Quality management systems (accreditation, good laboratory and manufacturing practice). Metrological traceability of measurement results, ways how to establish traceability, application of certified reference materials. Validation and verification of measurement procedures, internal and external quality control in chemical laboratories. Types of interlaboratory comparisons, requirements on participation, evaluation of success. Measurement uncertainty, ways how to evaluate it. Solving of model examples in the field of metrological traceability, validation and measurement uncertainty.

Learning outcomes
Obtain complete view about trends in area of quality assurance of results and metrology in chemistry
Orientation in area of metrology in chemistry, ability to evaluate and explain results.

Successfully graduation master's programme Analytical chemistry

Oral exam

To inform students with some topics based on recommendation of garant or lrcturer and to prove abilities to explan topivćs and discuss about them.
