Evaluation of analytical results. General analysis procedure. Composition of solutions. Analytical reactions and their sensitivity. Chemical and phase equilibria in analytical chemistry. Protolytic equilibria (solvents, pH measurements and calculations, buffers, use). Complex-forming reactions and equilibria (complex formation, influence of secondary equilibria, use). Precipitation reactions and equilibria (utilization of the product of solubility, precipitation with sulfane and hydroxide, use). Oxidation-reduction reactions and equilibria (reduction potential, reversible redox reaction, use). Utilization of catalytic and induced reactions. Extraction equilibria, extraction conditions, ion exchangers, ion-exchange equilibria, examples of phase equilibrium applications. Sample collection and treatment. Qualitative chemical analysis. Group reactions of cations, group division. Group reactions of anions. Sample qualitative analysis procedure. Selective reactions, selected examples. Methods of quantitative chemical analysis. Gravimetry (examples of gravimetric determinations, electrogravimetry, thermogravimetry). Volumetry (basic substances and purity of chemicals, titration curves, indicators and their use). Acidimetry, alkalimetry, complexometric titrations, precipitation titrations, oxidation-reduction titrations (types of titration curves, indication of equivalence point, use).
