Key learning outcomes
|
The degree is aimed at equipping students not only with an excellent knowledge of the Dutch language (level B2 of the European Reference Framework), but also a good overview of Dutch and Flemish literature and culture, as well as basic skills in the practice of translation and interpreting. Graduates will be able to acquire work, but will also have general prerequisites for continuing in a master's degree program.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
|
Graduates of the separately studied three year Bachelor degree Practical Dutch Philology have an excellent working knowledge of the Dutch language at the level B1 to B2. The graduate has a good overview of Dutch and Flemish economic geography and Dutch and Flemish society and general prerequisites for continuing studies in the master's degree program. The graduate is well versed in practical Dutch terminology, is able to translate entrepreneurial texts into Czech. Graduates may apply particularly in domestic and foreign enterprises in business and in the business sector or in tourism at middle management level.
