Definition of gymnastics, classification of gymnastics. Gymnastic terminology. History. Characteristics of gymnastic sports ? description of disciplines, basic rules. Sports training in gymnastic sports. Didactic means, methods and styles in gymnastics. Organizational and didactic forms applied in gymnastics. Specific and non-specific means of elementary gymnastics. Didactics of various gymnastic equipment. Characteristics of individual parts of a gymnastics teaching unit. Basic rules of evaluation of gymnastic expression ? gymnastic exercise, content, technical and aesthetic value. Main features of gymnastic motor skills, somatic factors of sports performance in sports gymnastics. Biomechanics of gymnastic skills.

|
The aim of the course is to, based on theoretical knowledge, present the content of practical gymnastics that should be a natural part of sports training of various types of sport and an inseparable part of physical education. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Through a horizontal connection of acquired knowledge of various subjects - anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, anthropomotorics, psychology, pedagogy and didactics - and its application to gymnastic activities, the students have the skills to work with gymnastic theory and practice in the context of their future professions. |

Oral exam, Systematic Observation of Student
Active participation in classes, demonstration part of teaching unit, written model preparation for a teaching unit with gymnastic content, knowledge of theory. |
