Learning outcomes
|
Knowledge is verified in an oral exam, where in addition to defending their research plan, students are asked about their knowledge of methodology. Furthermore, this knowledge is verified during the course of the lesson, where students' ideas and possible errors in a specific research plan are discussed. The student has the option of preparing a) a printed research plan or b) presenting the research plan in a ppt presentation. Skills are verified by preparing a ppt presentation on the topic "Ideological and technical research plan" (15 minutes + 5 minutes of discussion) containing the justification for the research, theoretical foundations, research objectives, planned research design, decisions on the population and the set, data collection methods, analysis methods and other specifics. This presentation is discussed and graded. Students thus practice formulating their own research plans, which they then usually process in their diploma theses. Skills are verified by preparing a seminar paper on the topic "Ideological and technical research plan" (3 to 5 A4 standard pages, i.e. 5400 to 9000 characters including spaces) containing the justification for the research, theoretical foundations, research objectives, planned research design, decisions on the population and the set, data acquisition methods, analysis methods and other specifics. This work is discussed and graded as part of the oral exam. Students thus practice formulating their own research plans, which they then usually process in their diploma theses.
Student upon completion of the course: - knows the required form and content of research proposal - understands the main methodological procedures in the field of psychology, respectively knows where to find and study the information - is able theoretically anchor his/her research project on the basis of relevant recherche - is able to formulate a research problem, research objectives, hypotheses or research questions - is capable to analyze the specific research problem, to choose adequate methods and give reason to his/her choice - can assess the quality of other research projects on the basis of relevant criteria
