1. Contemporary Russian language language culture, borrowings, colloquialisation and different approach to the issue of ´norm´. 2. Democratisation of speech, style of public communication (jargonisation). 3. Colloquial Russian - theory. 4. Varieties of colloquial Russian; colloquial speech vs. colloquial features in speech. 5. Characteristics of means of colloquial Russian. 6. Cognitive and pragmatic wordformation. 7. Modification deminutives, augmentatives; functioning of the derived naming units.

Learning outcomes
|
The discipline demonstrates both theoretical and practical aspects of description and study of contemporary colloquial Russian within the framework of the dynamic language culture of Russian society. The following topics are covered: current trends in development, difference between colloquial language and ´colloquial features´ as rhetoric device; style of contemporary public communication. Pragmatic wordformation is studied in detail, namely, its virtue, means and functioning in contemporary colloquial Russian.
The student will obtain general information on contemporary colloquial Russian as well as ability to discern and evaluate current stylistic tendencies and devices.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of Russian language corresponding at least to C1 level. In case of foreign students, corresponding knowledge of Czech language. Knowledge of general linguistics as well as partial linguistic disciplines corresponding to the level of Mgr. study od Russian philology at Czech university. General knowledge of the issues in humanities and social sciences.
