The course introduces the basics of cognitive science, which is an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the human mind and its processes such as memory, consciousness, emotion, and language. The course will also include selected problems of cognitive science in the form of so-called "case studies". Various methods used in field and laboratory research in cognitive science will also be introduced. The course will pay attention to issues of cognitive philosophy, cognitive anthropology, cognitive religious studies, neuroeconomics, and neuroscience.

Attendance at lectures; reading of required literature; passing the credit/exam in the form of a final test. The course will be completed in the form of a test in the credit week. Within the test, the student will be able to get a maximum of 20 points, while a minimum of 12 points, i.e. 60%, is required to successfully pass.
