Course content
The seminar series can be divided into two main thematic areas: the first focuses on the general history of the early modern period, while the second area is dedicated to current trends in historiography, such as the history of medicine, body, gender, and environment etc. 1. Introductory Session 2. Sources for the Early Modern Period 3. Economic Theories and the State in the Early Modern Period 4. Geographical Horizons 5. Humans and Nature 6. --- 7. Science I 8. Science II 9. Society and Gender Roles 10. The Body in the Early Modern Period 11. Health and Illness 12. Medical Professions and Practices in the Early Modern Period 13. Final Week

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
Seminars concentrate on the analysis of the main historical problems, literature and sources.
Students will gain knowledge of selected topics of this period and they will be also familiar with the literature related to this course.
